Since its establishment in 2001, Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital, with its founding spirit based on Love of Humanity, has been gaining a strong foothold in the medical care sector across the western part of Gyeonggi Province through research and education as one of the nation's leading university hospitals that specializes in intensive care for critically ill patients in acute phases.
As of 2019, it currently operates 31 departments and 19 specialized centers and plays a vital role as a designated emergency department for the Incheon region, including Incheon Metropolitan City, Bucheon, and Siheung.
